Tired of family meetings that end with eye rolls, groans, and everyone feeling worse than when you started? You're not alone. Most families approach these conversations all wrong, turning them into lecture sessions or crisis management instead of the connection and coordination tools they're meant to be. In this episode, I'm joined by Christy Keating, founder of The Heartful Parent Collective and licensed attorney turned parent coach. Christy shares why most family meetings fail and the minds...
If you've ever wondered whether time management systems can work for someone with ADHD, this episode is essential listening. The truth is, most productivity advice out there wasn't designed with neurodivergent brains in mind, and that's why so many women with ADHD feel like they're failing at systems that simply weren't built for them. I'm joined by Meghan Brown-Enyia, an ADHD coach and social worker who specializes in helping women with ADHD thrive in their careers. Meghan breaks down what A...
Sound familiar? You finish a crazy busy month thinking "next month will be easier," then you flip your calendar page and your heart sinks. Next month looks just as packed, or worse. If you're stuck in this cycle, the problem isn't your weekly planning skills. You're missing the roadmap that actually prevents you from getting overbooked in the first place. Most women think the solution is better daily routines or time-blocking, but that's like trying to fix a leaky roof with a bigger bucket. T...
My dream for 2026 is to hire something called a household manager, but I honestly knew very little about what that actually meant or how it worked. So naturally, I had to bring on an expert to help me (and you!) figure this whole thing out. Kelly Hubbell, founder of Sage Haus, walked me through everything from what a household manager actually does to the real costs involved. Spoiler alert: it's way more affordable than I thought! If you've ever felt like you need to duplicate yourself,...
Your goal planning isn't failing because you're not disciplined enough. It's failing because you're walking straight into these three hidden traps. If you've ever found that old goal-setting journal from January and felt that sickening pit in your stomach, there's a reason why. Most women abandon their long-term plans by March, but it's not because they lack willpower. It's because traditional planning approaches set them up for failure from day one. In this episode, I'm breaking down the thr...
You're crushing your to-do list, checking off task after task, but by 3 PM you feel like you've been hit by a truck. Sound familiar? That was my guest Heather Chauvin's reality until a stage 4 cancer diagnosis in 2013 changed everything. As a mom of three boys and a new business owner, Heather was in the thick of juggling it all. She was getting things done, hitting deadlines, and managing everything on her plate. But she was also completely burned out, resentful, and running on fumes with an...
Back to school season hits every August and September like a freight train. New schedules, earlier wake-ups, lunch packing, school supplies... suddenly you're drowning in chaos before you've even figured out what works. Most parents take one of two approaches: either wing it completely or try to map out every detail before school starts. Both are recipes for disaster. There's a better way that doesn't involve losing your sanity or creating impossible expectations. In this episode, I'm sharing...
Juggling seven different lists for work, home, kids, and everything else? No wonder you can't figure out what to prioritize. When you're bouncing between multiple lists trying to decide what's most important, your brain goes into decision fatigue overdrive and suddenly everything feels urgent and overwhelming. Here's the truth: the problem isn't that you're bad at prioritizing. The problem is that multiple lists are working against your brain's natural decision-making process. Today I'm shari...
If you're a parent of a highly sensitive child, you know that planning a simple trip to the park can feel like orchestrating a military operation. What looks like a fun family outing can quickly turn into hours of repeated questions, worst-case scenario planning, and emotional meltdowns before you even leave the house. In this episode, parenting expert Rachel Bailey joins me to share why traditional planning approaches often backfire with sensitive kids and what actually works instead. Rachel...
When you're navigating grief, job loss, divorce, or any major life disruption, the last thing you need is pressure to maintain your normal productivity levels. Yet so many women beat themselves up because they "just can't get it all done anymore" during these difficult seasons. The truth is, you're not supposed to be getting it all done right now, and it's time to completely rewrite the rules of how you manage your time during grief and major life changes. Society subtly tries to time-box our...
Picture this: it's a random Tuesday in July, Christmas music is blasting, and you're spending the entire day baking holiday cookies with your kids. Sounds crazy? This simple tradition has become one of my most effective holiday stress-busting strategies. If December always feels like a chaotic scramble of baking, crafting, and endless to-dos, you're going to love this completely unserious approach to a very serious problem. What started as a way to bring back the joy in holiday traditions has...
Picture this: It's Sunday night, you're winding down from dinner, and your teen casually mentions they need supplies for a project due tomorrow. Sound familiar? If you've been frustrated watching your capable kid struggle to stay on top of their school schedule, here's some relief: it's not because they're lazy or procrastinating. The transition from elementary school's single-teacher environment to juggling seven different teachers is like going from having one boss to managing seven differe...
You're doing everything "right" with your calendar. You've left white space, you're not booking every minute from sunup to sundown, and you're following all the expert advice about avoiding overcommitment. So why do you still feel like you never have any time for yourself? If this sounds painfully familiar, you're not alone. The truth is, most women are unknowingly lumping four completely different types of time into their "white space," and it's sabotaging any chance of actually having guilt...

I’m joined by Michelle Gauthier, a life coach and host of the Overwhelmed Working Woman podcast, for a real conversation about people pleasing. Ever scroll through social media and feel like you're already behind before 8 AM because some successful "guru" claims they've already crushed half a day's work? Well, I'm about to pull back the curtain on one of these claims. There's a specific productivity claim making the rounds from speaker Ed Mylett that he swears by: fitting three full days into one 24-hour period. Sounds too good to be true? That's because it is. Today I'm breaking down why this approach (and others like it) migh...
If you feel like you can’t get through a single task without being interrupted, you are not imagining it. Whether it is your phone lighting up, your kids asking for something the moment you sit down, or your brain suddenly reminding you of a dozen random things, interruptions are everywhere. In this episode, I am breaking down the two biggest types of interruptions that derail your day. One comes from the outside, the other from inside your own head. I will walk you through how to identify bo...

When we think about retirement, most of the conversation centers around finances. But what if that’s only part of the story? In this episode, I’m joined by the incredible Monique Rhodes to talk about the part of retirement planning no one’s really talking about...the emotional and mental transition. Megan your Bullet Journal episode totally nailed why the bullet journal didn't work for me. I tried a few aspects of it but having the time to set up pages in advance was overwhelming just to begin with. Everything was in illogical order (hence why the index is required). I followed a group for quite a while and their pages were beautiful however there was lots of talk of migrating pages to the next journal and that truly made me wonder where these people got the time!!! I found not being able to allocate an event a time and in the correct order hard and couldn't wrap my head around the recording symbols. The closest I got to success was using some of the ideas in a ring planner with a diary section added. The bullet journal system works great for people tracking medical issues and challenges etc however. I eventually found a planner that worked for me but true success came once I learned your weekly planning system!!! Finally a system that makes sense!!! Thank you!
